The small matter of a Manchester derby tops the bill on a bumper Saturday of Premier League action.
Old foes Manchester United and Manchester City lock horns at Old Trafford this evening with just a point separating them.
But before attention switches to the Theatre of Dreams, Wolves and Aston Villa meet in an intriguing West Midlands derby and Newcastle host struggling West Brom.
The day is rounded off by Chelsea's trip to Everton as Frank Lampard's title-chasing side look to go top of the table with a win at Goodison Park.
Wolves vs Aston Villa (12.30pm, BT Sport)
Two sides desperately trying to keep pace with the Premier League’s leading pack meet at Molineux at lunchtime when Wolves welcome Aston Villa.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have struggled for consistency this term and suffered a 4-0 defeat at Liverpool last weekend.
Yet Wolves boast an impressive record at home so far, with their only defeat coming against Manchester City back in September.
Villa find themselves on somewhat of a downward spiral having lost four of their last five outings after taking a maximum 12 points from their first four fixtures.
Dean Smith will be hoping his side can improve on last season’s showing against their West Midlands rivals after suffering defeats in both meetings.
The hosts are still adjusting to life without star striker Raul Jimenez after the Mexican fractured his skull during the 2-1 win at Arsenal, with Daniel Podence likely to lead the line again in his absence.
Villa are without Ross Barkley (hamstring) so Conor Hourihane should start and Bertrand Traore could also get the nod over Trezeguet.
Newcastle vs West Brom (3pm, Sky Sports)
Newcastle will be looking for their first back-to-back Premier League wins since June when West Brom visit St James’ Park.
Steve Bruce’s side picked up a huge three points at Crystal Palace a fortnight ago before last week’s home game against Villa was postponed due to a coronavirus outbreak at the club.
The Magpies have taken the fewest shots out of any side in the top tier this term but have amassed a respectable 14 points — a tally they will be confident of adding to against the lowly Baggies.
Slaven Bilic’s visitors failed to build on their hard-earned win over Sheffield United as they slumped to 5-1 home defeat to Palace last week, though Matheus Pereira’s controversial early red card certainly had an impact on that result.
West Brom have won just one of their 11 matches this season and have only managed to secure a solitary point from five away games.
The hosts could welcome back the trio of Jamaal Lascelles, Ryan Fraser and Dwight Gayle from their respective injuries but Andy Carroll is unlikely to shake off a calf problem.
Bilic has no fresh injury concerns but must shuffle his pack as a result of Pereira’s three-match suspension.
Manchester United vs Manchester City (5.30pm, Sky Sports)
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is out to extend his excellent record over Pep Guardiola as Manchester United hunt a derby victory to ease the pressure on the under-fire Norwegian.
United have won their last four Premier League outings but their disastrous Champions League exit in midweek has put the spotlight firmly back on Solskjaer.
The former striker has overseen an impressive three wins from five meetings against City and confidence should still be high as the hosts look to open up a four-point gap over their neighbours,
City have not been at their best this term but have won their last two league games by an aggregate score of 7-0, suggesting things are starting to click into gear.
Anthony Martial is fit again but Edinson Cavani remains a major doubt for after missing the midweek loss in Leipzig through injury, so Mason Greenwood (pictured above) should keep his starting spot for the hosts.
Guardiola had the luxury of resting players against Porto in midweek having already reached the Champions League knockout phase and Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias and Benjamin Mendy should return.
Everton vs Chelsea (8pm, BT Sport)
With Liverpool and Tottenham not in action until Sunday, Chelsea can temporarily snatch top spot with a victory at Everton.
The Toffees set the early pace this season but have only won one of their last seven outings, with a frustrating point at Burnley last week only just preserving their place in the top half of the table.
Carlo Ancelotti has not suffered three consecutive home league defeats as a manager in 14 years and will need an improved performance from his side if they are to get a result against his former club.
Chelsea are in excellent form having not lost a game in all competitions since September but have lost their last two trips to Goodison.
The visitors have been imperious at the back on the road recently and Lampard’s men will be targeting a fourth consecutive clean sheet away from home.
Everton are without full-backs Lucas Digne and Seamus Coleman, while Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi miss out for Chelsea.
