1
Modric
The Croatian had a decent game as he helped to bring the ball out from defence in the first part and contributed in Real Madrid’s efforts to secure the win in the second half.
2
Vinicius
In the starting XI for the first time since the defeat against Valencia, he made smart moves without the ball and was Real Madrid’s most active player throughout the 90 minutes. He squandered a chance to net in the first half, but it was him who got to the ball first to force Bono into conceding an own goal.
3
Courtois
Started the game aiming to keep his first clean sheet since October 4 and Sevilla hardly worried him in the first 45’. The Andalusians were the better team in second half but Courtois didn’t have to intervene much, apart from a big save to deny Lucas Ocampos.
4
Nacho
The Spanish defender, who started for the sixth time in a row for the second time in his career, was solid throughout the game and contributed to Real Madrid keeping a clean sheet.
5
Lucas Vazquez
He had a quiet game as Sevilla hardly attacked from his side and mainly tried to threaten the visitors from their right flank with Ocampos.
6
Casemiro
Zidane started him in this game despite being one yellow card away from missing the upcoming derby against Atletico Madrid, and the Brazilian was one of Real Madrid’s top performers.
7
Kroos
Having returned to his natural position after Casemiro’s return to the starting line-up, the German midfielder produced a solid display in the middle third alongside Modric and Casemiro.
8
Varane
Following a poor performance in Ukraine, he didn’t have much work in the first half and was there to clear the ball when he was asked to intervene.
9
Rodrygo
Very active up front before the break, the Brazilian was not very involved in Real Madrid’s moves in attack in the second half and was replaced by Asensio.
10
Zidane
Kudos for Real Madrid’s good start to the game, as Los Blancos attacked from the first minute in search of an opener and were superior before the break. In the second half, Sevilla dominated ball but it was Real Madrid who took the lead and all three points.
11
Benzema
He wasted a chance to open the scoring for Real Madrid in the first half but didn’t contribute to the circulation of the ball and wasn’t involved a lot after the break.
12
Mendy
Coming from his worst display for Los Blancos in Ukraine, the Frenchman struggled to move the ball forward in the first half but was the one who teed up Vinicius in the build-up to Real Madrid’s goal.
13
Asensio
Came off the bench with about half an hour to go to replace Rodrygo, but hardly threatened Sevilla’s defence as it was the hosts who were mainly attacking after the break.
